DAC Excel101 Workshop (Run2)

DAC Excel101 Workshop 2019 (Run 2)

Date: 24 October 2019

Time: 7PM – 10PM

Venue: SR B.5.07

Facilitator: Shu Yi

DAC held its Excel101 Workshop on the 24th of October, where participants were taught how to use Macros and to program in VBA. These 2 features are useful for Data Analysis as it helps the user to automate certain repetitive tasks simply by recording down the actions done with macros and tweak the generated codes so that it becomes more dynamic and suitable for different sets of data.

By programming Macros with VBA, we could automate things such as plotting graphs, reports and perform calculations automatically. Better data visualisation skills would also be beneficial to present our analysis and findings as well.

During the workshop, our subcommittee members and EXCOs were also helping out our participants to check if they had any doubts or queries.

We hoped you’ve enjoyed the session! #NoFearDAC
